SCHOLARSHIPS

Eligibility: Current high school seniors and full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students.

 

Requirements: One (1) current letter of recommendation (signed) and a current transcript are required. In addition, new applicants only, are asked to write a 400 word typed essay addressing the following question: The graduation requirements to earn a Maryland High School diploma for the Class of 2021 and beyond in Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) have courses in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Health Education, Technology Education, and MSDE-approved Electives. If you could add a credit requirement to the PGCPS curriculum, what would be the subject area? Support your argument with evidence.

 

Deadline: Post marked no later than May 15, 2022 (NO EXCEPTIONS)

 

Award: Up to $1,000 must be used at a Maryland institution. A student may attend an out-of-state institution if his/her intended major is deemed to be unique and not offered at a Maryland institution.
